At Mastering Tutors Limited, we believe every student learns differently. We carefully match students with qualified tutors and provide structured guidance, interactive lessons, and continuous progress support to ensure effective learning outcomes.

Since its establishment, Mastering Tutors Limited has provided both on-site and online classes. In 2023, the company expanded its operations by opening its first physical locations in the East Point City Shopping Mall in Chai Wan. These centres are dedicated to delivering high-quality educational services for primary and secondary students across the eastern district of Hong Kong Island and are fully equipped with a variety of materials and equipment aimed at enriching the learning experience.
Our Team
Our team consists of foreign instructors holding Master’s degrees or higher across a variety of fields and disciplines, but most notably, English. Together, they bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges local students face in language learning and a passion for helping them bridge the gap between being a learner-of-English to being English speakers.

Online classes are delivered through Zoom, offering a flexible and convenient option for students who need more adaptable scheduling. Sessions can be easily arranged through WhatsApp, where staff coordinate directly with families and send the Zoom link once a time has been confirmed. This simple, streamlined booking process ensures lessons can be organised quickly without formal paperwork or complicated systems. Despite being conducted online, these classes maintain the same level of quality as in person sessions. Tutors use a range of interactive techniques—such as shared whiteboards, screen sharing tools, digital worksheets, and real time feedback—to keep students fully engaged. Activities are designed to mirror the dynamics of classroom learning, ensuring there is no loss of interaction, clarity, or educational value. With flexible timing and thoughtfully designed teaching methods, online lessons provide a high quality learning experience that remains just as effective, personalised, and supportive as face to face classes.
On-Site classes
Onsite classes are held at our centres in Chai Wan and Central, where students learn in a calm, relaxed environment designed to feel warm and welcoming—more like a cosy living room than a traditional classroom. Each location is equipped with interactive whiteboards, engaging teaching materials, and a small in house library that allows learners to enjoy books and resources that support their studies. The space is intentionally arranged to make learning comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable, helping students stay focused and confident during lessons. Classes run at the agreed upon times, and for younger students who require supervision, parents are asked to drop their children off punctually and return 5–10 minutes before the class ends to ensure safety and smooth handover. For all students who are not yet of adult age, travel arrangements must be confirmed with staff in advance, including details of how they will arrive and go home, as well as the identity of the person responsible for picking them up and dropping them off. These procedures help us maintain a safe, organised, and supportive environment where students can learn comfortably and parents can feel confident that their children are well looked after.

Home classes
Home‑based classes provide an alternative learning option for families who prefer lessons to be conducted in the comfort of their own homes. These sessions can only take place once all required safety checks have been completed, including confirmation of the home environment, identity verification of the adults present, and agreement on the terms and expectations of the arrangement. After these steps are finalised, tutors travel to the client’s residence at the agreed time and deliver lessons with the same professionalism, structure, and quality as centre‑based or online classes.
Tutors bring the necessary teaching materials—such as worksheets, books, and interactive resources—to ensure the lesson remains engaging and productive. The learning space should be quiet, suitable for focused study, and supervised by a responsible adult if the student is underage. For safeguarding and clarity, families must confirm in advance who will be present during the class, as well as who is responsible for the student before and after the lesson.
Home‑based classes offer convenience and familiarity, allowing students to learn in an environment where they feel comfortable and at ease. With clear communication, established guidelines, and proper safety procedures, these sessions maintain the high standards of teaching and care that define all our programmes.
